About Us
Retired Army Cavalry Scout becomes Owner/Operator
If you served in the United States Army or was a civilian who worked with the US Army, your eyebrows may have raised a bit when you saw the company name 19Delta Transport. That’s because after my retirement from the US Army, I chose to name my trucking business in honor of my Military Occupational Specialty: 19D Cavalry Scout.
As my military career was coming to an end, I attended the Troops into Transportation truck driving school. There, I learned the basic fundaments of maneuvering a combination tractor trailer and the importance of proper preventative maintenance. After graduation, I returned home to Texas where I chose the flatbed specialty as my focus and was hired by a regional flatbed trucking company. From there, I moved up to a national flatbed carrier that offered the opportunity to expand my experience with longer and wider loads, as well as ever more difficult cargo securement, seasonal conditions, roads, and access points. I then purchased my first truck and flatbed trailer and leased on with a highly respected national carrier where I excelled at the importance of relationships, exceeding customer expectations, and on-time pickups and deliveries.
Armed with these experiences, I ultimately transitioned to become a fully independent owner/operator, providing you, my customers, with the excellence and professionalism that is often lost among large fleets and independent carriers.
